Our Cremation Code of Ethics

We have a strict code of ethics that we adhere to while your loved one is in our care. All of our staff is committed to upholding these ethical standards. All of our cremations take place right in our facility by a certified crematory operator and we are fully licensed by the Texas Funeral Service Commission.

Our staff is committed to caring for your loved one and upholding the following guidelines:

  1. Identification of the Deceased
To ensure security, a personal identification band is placed on your loved one the moment they're transferred to our care.

  2. Tracking of Remains
Your loved one is logged into our tracking system. This tracking system includes the date of arrival at the facility and the name of the transfer technician. Personal belongings are catalogued and placed in a secure area for their return to the family. At the time of cremation, an identification number is assigned, which is stamped into a stainless-steel identification tag. This number is used to track every phase of the cremation process.

  3. Transfer Policy
We perform all cremations at our cremation center in our licensed crematory. Your loved one is not transferred to another facility or taken to another location for cremation.

  4. Cremation Container
Your loved one is placed in the cremation container of your choice with their name written clearly on it and matching the identification tag. If no container is chosen, we place your loved one in a rigid, leakproof container to ensure proper safety and discretion.

  5. Cremation Logbook
Immediately prior to the cremation process, your loved one and their personal identification is noted in our logbook. Each log entry includes the name of the individual, the set date and time of the cremation, their identification number, and the certified crematory operator’s name. The log is dated and the start time is noted and initialed by a cremation technician before and after the cremation.

  6. Crematory Checklist
The crematory checklist is placed on the outside of the cremation chamber during the cremation process. The metal identification tag is placed on the cremation chamber during the process.

  7. Post-Cremation Process
After the cremation is complete, the cremated remains and the stainless-steel identification tag are placed into a temporary container or the urn the family has selected.

  8. Delivery of Remains
For families that are in Lubbock, you may schedule a time to pick up the cremated remains at our funeral chapel. For families that are outside of Lubbock, we will prepare the remains for shipment via Registered Mail through the US Post Office.

Staff Commitment to Code of Ethics

Before our staff can work with your family, each staff member must make a personal commitment to our Code of Ethics.
