Stephen E Petersen

Stephen E. Petersen, 76, of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Lubbock. He was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on January 21, 1945. Steve served in the Navy from 1962 to 1966 and then served in the Army after separating from the Navy for a combined 29 years. He was married to Susan K. Petersen from April 1967 until her passing in 2008. After retiring from the Army, he served another 11 years with the US Postal Service. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed leather working, fishing, boating and camping.

Stephen Petersen is survived by his two sons, Stephen A. and Chris "Tex" Petersen, his two brothers Raymond and Gerald Petersen as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation for Steve will be held at Agape Funeral Chapel on Tuesday December 21, 2021 from 5-7PM with a burial and memorial service at the City of Lubbock Cemetery on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 11am with Dr. David Wilson officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1PM at Southcrest Baptist Church.
