Stanley G. Castles, age 72, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on April 21, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas, where he resided with his wife Sue. He was born on May 17, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Stan enjoyed a good book, playing guitar, and spending time with family. He was known for his quick wit and ability to make others laugh with his lighthearted approach to life. His passion for music and his distinctive radio voice led him to a successful career as a Disc Jockey announcer and Manager of Radio Stations throughout Texas and California. Stan also had a deep love for history, often sharing stories with his grandchildren about their family's past.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Castles; brother, Vance Castles and his wife Camilla; sons Gehrig and his wife Gracie, Graham and his wife Kelly; daughter, Brooke; grandchildren Faith, Ellie, Grayson, Braxton, and Eli; Brother-in law Steve Stevens and his wife Martha and nieces Lindsey and her husband Justin McCoy, Haley Stevens and nephew Josh Stevens. He is preceded in death by his mother, Florence Randalls-Castles; father, Sidney G. Castles; and nephew, Brandt Castles.
A private ceremony was held with immediate family per Stan's request at Agape Funeral Chapel and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the South Plains Food Bank.
