Sharon Elaine Masters passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022 at her home in Wolfforth, Tx.
She was born in Tucumcari, NM on January 8, 1946 to Bruce and Gladys Jackson. She spent her early years in the San Jon, NM farming community but they later moved to Lovington, NM where she graduated high school in 1964. She met her future husband, Leldon Masters, in the summer of 1962 in the produce aisle of the Piggly Wiggly. They married in September of 1965 and had one daughter, Vonda.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Donna Bond and a nephew Dennis Bond. She is survived by her husband, daughter and a clowder of loving cats. Other survivors include brother in law Don Bond, nephew Dean Bond and his wife Rhonda; brother in law Burl Masters and his wife Helen, nephew Blake MAsters and many beloved cousins and friends.
She battled dementia for sometime and those closest to her knew the woman they knew was already gone. That Sharon was a woman who loved fast cars and pretty shoes, mexican food, music, dancing, reading as well as crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She loved awful "reality" TV to the horror of her daughter but mainly she loved that daughter, her husband and many cats over the years.
There will not be a service for Sharon but in lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer's Association or your local hospice.
