Ross J Spencer

Pastor Ross J Spencer was born on June 12, 1933 in Detroit, Texas and passed on June 13, 2022 in Lubbock.

He married Mamie Martin in June 1951 and worked as a carpet layer until 1969. After accepting Christ at Arnett Benson, he joined Western Hills in 1965 and became a staff member in 1969. In 1975, he started Bethany Baptist Church and retired in 1998. But, Pastor Ross Spencer continued filling pulpits and preaching revivals until 2005. He faithfully witnessed until his death.

Survivors include daughters Teresa Poston and husband Fred, Patricia O'Brien and husband Ron; son Mark Spencer and wife Tricia; grandchildren Bethany and Tiffany Yates, Cherish Brodbeck, Jennifer Pound, Jonathon, Jordan, Jessika and Field Spencer, David and Spencer O'Brien, their spouses and 16 great grandchildren. 

Funeral Services for Pastor Ross J Spencer will be on at 11AM on June 16, 2022 at the Bethany Baptist Church with Steve Beebee and Pastor David Wood officiating. A burial at Peaceful Gardens will follow.
