Mary Ann Blackwell Obituary

Mary Ann Blackwell lost her battle with Covid-19 on August 4, 2020 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.  Mary Ann had fought hard to recover from a severe medical issue in early June and then contracted Covid-19 in July.   Mary Ann was born on June 23, 1947 in Erie, Pennsylvania.  She lived for many years in West Palm Beach/Lake Worth, Florida and worked for Southern Bell until she retired and moved to Arizona.  In 2019, Mary Ann moved to Texas with her son, Paul and his wife, Kim and Paul’s son, Justin to start a new journey and be near family.  She loved the time spent with family, the family dinners, and the game nights.

Mary Ann leaves behind her loving sons, Paul (Kim) Lehman from Texas and Jerry Lehman from Florida, sister, Marcia (James) from Arizona and brother, Eddie (Denise) from Florida.  Mary Ann has seven (7) grandchildren:  Samantha, Kelli, Jacob, Justin, Jessica (Mario), Hunter, Wyatt, Beth and Christopher; and six great-grandchildren:  Isaac, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Reese, Greyson and Gideon.  Mary Ann has many loving relatives and friends in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Florida.

Everyone that knew Mary Ann knows she loved everyone and she loved life.  She would give you the shirt off her back or the last dollar in her wallet.  She had a vibrant and full of life personality.  She will be missed by many but remember she is with us always.

Due to the current situation of Covid there will not be a memorial service at this time for MaryAnn.  The family is hoping that in the coming months there will be a better time for everyone to gather and celebrate MaryAnn’s life.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any contributions toward her funeral expenses be made on the GoFundMe account originally created to help with medical expenses at the following link  gofundme.com/medical-expenses-for-mary-ann
