Manuel Hernandez Melgoza

Manuel Hernandez Melgoza, 61, went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 8, 2020. Manuel was born to the late Jose and Graciela Melgoza in Lubbock, Texas on January 21, 1958. He married Hortencia Salaz on March 24, 1978 in Austin, Texas.

He was a longtime resident of Lubbock and worked as a Masonry for Mr. Lee at T & S Plastering from 1983 until 2002 when he was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis. He continued to do lite jobs for friends and family until he was diagnosed with lung cancer in August of 2019.

Manuel will be remembered by the love of his life, Hortencia Melgoza, their three sons, two daughter in laws and ten grandchildren, Manuel Angel Melgoza his wife, M'Randa Melgoza and their children Angel Melgoza, Laney Rose Melgoza, Neviah Melgoza, Synovia Melgoza and Pristina Melgoza. Julian Melgoza and his children, Jul Melgoza and Junior Melgoza. Max Melgoza his wife, Maria Melgoza and their children, Natalie Melgoza, Kieth Melgoza and Jazzlyn Melgoza. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers and sisters, Ramon Melgoza, Gloria Faz and husband Samie, Joe Melgoza Jr., Elisia Britton and husband Everett, Enrique Melgoza, Cellia Garcia, Rosie Cardenas, Michael Melgoza and Albert Alvarez.

He is preceded in death by both his Mother and Father and his two daughters that passed at birth.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Wednesday January 15, 2020 at 10 a.m.
