Leroy Martinez

Leroy Martinez of Lubbock departed this life on Saturday, February 13th at University Medical Center. 

He is preceded in death by his late wife Terry Martinez, parents Manuel Salinas and Juanita Salinas, and his brother Juan Manuel Martinez. 

He is survived by his wife Maria Luisa, 6 children and 3 step sons. He is survived by the 3 brothers and 7 sisters, 33 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; daughters Ruby Martinez of Lubbock, Brandy Martinez of Lubbock, Christi Gonzales of Lubbock, Son Jacob Martinez, wife Melissa Perez of San Antonio, daughter Christy Gonzalez of Lubbock, son Edward Martinez, wife Melinda Martinez of Lubbock. Daughter Janie Martinez of San Antonio and 3 step sons of Lubbock. 

He will be remembered for being a hard worker and great provider but he will mostly be remembered by always wanting to make people laugh. He was a great father to his children and a great father figure to his nieces and nephews. He loved worshipping the Lord with his passion and love for music. He was the music director at his church at Flint Avenue Baptist Church. He was loved by many and will be missed by just as many.
