A memorial for Katheryn Lynn (Honeycutt) Pruitt, 67, of Lubbock, Texas will be on January 8,, 2021. The time and location will be announced at a later date. Katheryn was born in Gladewater, Texas on March 26, 1953 to Neil and Bonnie Honeycutt. She passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 surrounded by her family and pets.
Kathy’s early school years were in Denver City and were completed in Lubbock, Texas. While in Lubbock, she worked at Texas Instruments and Covenant Children’s Pediatric Emergency Room. Kathy, infamously known as Nini, was the life of the party. She never met a stranger, could hold a conversation with anyone she met, and always remembered everyone’s name. The most important things in her life were her grandkids, great-grandkids, and her many pets. She absolutely loved nature and preferred a rock over an expensive gift. Her crazy personality was palpable wherever she went. Often, her peculiar awkwardness would help others feel more comfortable and not so awkward. She will forever be loved and known as “our crazy Nini”.
Nini is survived by two daughters; Angie and husband David Goen, Aaron and husband Roman Gonzales; 7 grandkids, Devin Lewis and wife Chelsea, Jade Goen, Sydney Goen, Bo Duffy, Raemi Goen, Kamryn Goen, and Boston Goen; two great- grandchildren, Declan and Oaklan Lewis; daughter-in-love, Kelly Foerester; and three fuzzy four-legged companions, Jethro, Cowboy, and Gypsy. She was also loved by extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E. Neil and Bonnie Honeycutt; two siblings, Sheryn Johnston and William Honeycutt; and her beloved Chihuahua, Chulo.
