Jeffrey J Driver

Service for Jeffrey J Driver, 59, of Buffalo Springs Lake, Lubbock, will be at 10:00 am Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church with Chad Sikes Officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Agape Funeral Chapel, 5-7 pm on Friday, October 22, 2021.  He died peacefully at home on Friday, October 15, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jeff was born on December 22, 1961 in Albuquerque, NM.

Jeff created fine art landscapes and portraits for families and graduates as owner of JJ Driver Photography.  His artwork was featured many times during the First Friday Art Trail and he won many National and State awards for his beautiful work.  He worked for Tyler Technologies for 22 years.  He was an active member of the Lubbock Camera Club, board member of the South Plains Professional Photographers, Slaton Harvey House, and Texas JCI Senate.  He was a past Texas State President and past National Vice President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce.  He was a former Lubbock Police Officer, Volunteer Fireman and retired Municipal Court Judge.

He loved to travel, having fun new adventures, and making many wonderful memories.  He will be remembered for his quick wit, humor, strength, courage, positive attitude, and how he always smiled through it all.  He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of photography with others and was always available to help anyone in need.

He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Betty Driver, his daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Kirk Easterwood, and his beloved pets.  Also by his siblings: Cathy Weathers, KY; Dusty & Shelley Weathers, KY; Brian & Jamie Weathers, UT; Cindy & Dean Mortensen, NV; Terry Hackworth, GA; Christopher & Mary Hackworth, KY; Step-mother Patricia Weathers, KY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Patricia & Jack Driver and Gene Weathers. 

He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
