James Cross

James Lee Cross, 72, passed away on December 2, 2019, in Lubbock, TX.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, at First Christian Church in Slaton, TX.  James loved God, and his family is comforted knowing he is home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

James was born in Germany on May 29, 1947.  His parents were William James Cross and Betty Ann Schaff Cross Jarstfer.  He graduated from Cincinnati Bible Seminary School in Ohio.  James traveled all over the country as a shoe salesman.  He enjoyed playing sports and was an avid Denver Broncos fan.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Cross, and a sister, Wendy Cross Coleman.

James is survived by his mother, Betty Ann Jarstfer; 2 sons, Brian Cross (Tiffany) of Lubbock and Kevin Cross of Slaton; a daughter, Stephanie Cross Cagle (Johnny) of Lubbock; 3 brothers, Frank Cross, Victor Cross, Anthony Cross; 2 sisters, Dawn Cross Cales and Amy Cross Crouch; 8 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
