George "Bill" Bolton

George William Bolton of Lubbock, TX passed away on October 16, 2023.  He was known by family, friends and colleagues as Bill. He was born February 24,1930 in Artesia, New Mexico to parents, Minnie Elliott Bolton and Vernon Doyle Bolton.   In June of 1948, he married Betty Ann Arnold Bolton.

Bolton graduated from Artesia High School in Artesia, New Mexico. Afterwards, he attended and graduated from Draughon’s Business College, in Lubbock, TX. Upon graduation he was employed by: Bolton Oil Company of Artesia, NM and was a developer of GASCARD Club, Inc.

His family is quoted as saying Bill “loved golf! Golf! And more golf!” And that he was a very loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

George "Bill" Bolton was predeceased by: spouse Betty Ann Arnold Bolton, parents Vernon Doyle Bolton and Minnie Elliott Bolton, brother Curtis Doyle Bolton, sister-in-law Bettynelle Lanning Bolton and grandson Richard Chad Smith.

Bolton is survived by: children: Theresa Jan Bolton and Clarissa Ann Bolton, grandchildren: DeeDee Ann Durbin Brauer and James Ashley Brewer, great grandchildren: Justin Lee Brauer and Dylan Scott Brauer, nephew John Vernon Bolton, sister-in-law Sara Mae Arnold Letton and brother-in-law: Steven Dickey Arnold.
