Frances Horne Bonner went to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 17, 2021, in Lubbock. She was born March 29, 1933, in Lubbock to O.C. and Bessie Johnson Horne, as the last child of 8.
After graduating from Lubbock High, Frances married Bob Bonner on October 4, 1951. The couple had 4 children and made their home in north Lubbock county before moving to Lake Whitney in 1965.
Frances was a homemaker and an LVN. She was a nurse at the Whitney Hospital and the DO Hospital in Fort Worth until retirement. Following retirement, Frances was very involved with her children and grandchildren, helping out whenever needed. She loved to sew and quilted each grandchild a quilt of their choosing. As a member of the Whitney Church of Christ, Frances was always willing to serve meals to families during times of bereavement.
Survivors include her children; Jay Bonner of Whitney, Gail (Ron) Husband of Huntington and Jackie (Mark) Dyer of Lubbock; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and one sister.
Preceding Frances in death were her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, son, Kirk Bonner and granddaughter, Lyndsi Miller.
The family would like to take the opportunity to say a special “thank you” to Scott Herron and Angel Hagood for their amazing love and care during Frances’ time being a part of their family at their residential care home, “The Porch Swing”, and to Hospice of Lubbock and their wonderful staff.
