Ernest Edward McPeak, 82, of Lubbock, Texas passed on December 21, 2020. He was born on February 22, 1938 in Sullivan Indiana. Ed enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 19 and served for 21 years; retiring as a Vietnam Veteran. After retiring from the Air Force in 1978, he married Yvonne Anglin. Together they made the move from Arizona to Texas; where he was a probation officer for 20 years before retiring in Parmer County, Texas. In 2016 they moved to Lubbock to be closer to family.
Ed loved the lord, his wife, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and when he loved, he loved hard. He always had such a positive outlook on life and could always lighten the mood as soon as he walked into a room. He gave the best hugs and always had a big smile on his face. He touched the lives of everyone he encountered; no one was ever a stranger to him.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne McPeak of Lubbock; children, Ed McPeak JR and wife Mercele of Colorado, Lori Thompson, and husband John; stepchildren, Gregg Skaggs of Arizona, Judy Bunch of Lubbock; seven grandchildren: Phil, Nickolas, Cortney, Marilyn, Tawney, Derek, and Matthew; five great-grandchildren: Kail, Payton, Addy, Axel, and Kolt; two brothers Earl McPeak of California, Tom Reynolds of Indiana; a sister Nancy Begle of Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
