Dorothy Vaughn

Dorothy Dee Vaughn,90, of Lubbock.Texas died March 15, 2020 at Carillon House in Lubbock. Dorothy was born October 23, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William and Dorothy Bonnell. She married Vestal Vaughn in 1954. 

 Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vestal Vaughn,  daughter Vicki Lacy, grandson Matt Lacy, and great great grandaughter Adalee Cline.  Survivors include daughters Jo Dee Waits, Kim Douglass and husband Pat, Amy Windisch and husband Bob, 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 6 great greatgrandchildren. 

  She was a member of St John's Methodist Church when she first moved to Lubbock, then moved to Oakwood Methodist Church, and at the end of her life, she was a member of St Luke's Methodist Church where she was a member of Harmony Class, and where she sang in the church choir for many years. 

  Throughout her life, she was a member of several women's clubs, loved to play bridge, loved to go camping with family and friends, and later she spent time volunteering at Covenant Medical Center and helped form a Saturday Breakfast Club with her friends.
