Donna Karen Martin

Donna Karen Martin of Midland, Texas was born December 15th, 1949 in Yonkers New York. She was adopted by Walter Boas and Jackie Sipes at three days old.  She went to be with Jesus June 5, 2020 from cardiac arrest in Lubbock Tx. She grew up in Oklahoma City, graduating from Classen High School.  She married high school sweetheart Dwane Wasemiller and later divorced but remained close.

Donna worked at Martin Decker & Nagle’s in Elk City for many years.  She was also a volunteer mentor at Midland Elementary School.  She was kind to everyone.

Donna leaves many to cherish her memory: three daughters, Dawn Lucy, Tammy Darnell, Rhonda and Jon Merrifield. She had two brothers in Alaska, Jay Boas Graham and Kenny Boas, both deceased. She had two stepsons, Mike and Gregg Wasemiller that she loved as her own. 

She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Cameron Gardner, John and Jacqueline Darnell, James Lucy, Faith and Chase Rice, Hope and Grace Merrifield. Two great grandchildren: Emy and Tory Rice. 

She will be greatly missed by all.
