Dayton Ward, 86, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on December 20th after a brief illness. Dayton was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie Mae and Duke, his brother Adrain, as well as his son James. Dayton is survived by his wife Amie, his sister Hazel Campbell of Ralls, Texas, and his children Krystal, Dava, and Dallas, as well as five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Dayton had a small accounting firm where he served clients, friends, and family for 60 years. Dayton received recognition from the State Board of Public Accounts for 50 plus years of service as a Certified Public Accountant where he served the people of the South Plains. Over his many years of service in the community his clients became close friends and he cherished the relationships he developed over the years. His family loved him very much and he will be deeply missed.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 27th, 2023 @ 11:00 am at Wolfforth Church of Christ, 715 5th Street, Wolfforth, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made in the name of the deceased to Lubbock Meals on Wheels or a charity of your choosing.
