Darleene was born on August 25, 1930 in Munday, Texas and passed August 11, 2020 in Lubbock Texas. She was a 50 year member of the Rebekah Lodge, past noble grand of the Rebekah Assembly, she was public relations for United Blood Services, 25 year member of the Eastern Star, member of the Oakwood Baptist Church in Lubbock Texas, lifetime member of the Auxillary at Covenant Hospital, a former American Business Women's Association member. Her favorite song was "I Believe" and her favorite scripture was Ecclesiastes 3:1-10.
She was a loving wife and mother of five children, nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and her life will be greatly celebrated.
She was preceded in death by her husband T. G. Herring, sister Sue Carter, daughters Landa Gamble Hardin and Beverly Gay Ellwell and grandson Nathaniel Ellwell. She is survived by her sons Robert Grant Harrison and Kelly Guy Herring (wife Robbie), daughter Terri Suzanne Bauer (husband Bill), brother Kirby Brown and sister Judy Ray.
A graveside service for Darleene Brown Herring will be on Thursday August 13, 2020 at 10 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to donate to your favorite charity.
