Catina Renee Kimmons was born March 31 st , 1973 in Hale Center,
Texas. Catina was born to Walter and Patsy Hall of Plainview, TX.
Catina graduated from Plainview High School in 1991. Catina
attended South Plains College School of Nursing and received her
LVN License.
On May 10, 2008, Catina married her best friend,
William Kimmons. Together they raised their two daughters, Skylar
Valanos and Keely Walker. While Catina worked as a nurse, she
has worked for MHMR, OB/Gyn, Texas Tech Family Medicine, and
the John T. Montford Unit. Catina had a love for the mountains.
Catina and family would make several trips to Ruidoso, New
Mexico, as well as, a family cabin north of Pecos, New Mexico.
After a 2 year long battle with an illness, Catina was called home on
November 8th, 2023 at 6:41am. Her husband, William, was by her
side and holding her hand when she went home. Catina was a true
believer in her faith and knew she would enter the gates of heaven.
Catina is preceded in death by her Papa and MaMa, (Olen and
Edna Grant) and her father and mother-in-law, (Pete and Joyce
Kimmons). Catina is survived by her husband, William Kimmons,
daughter, Skylar Valanos and husband Nathaniel Valanos and
Keely Walker, of Lubbock, Walter and Patsy Hall (father and mother) of Plainview, Texas, brother Chris Hall and wife April Hall of Plainview, sister Mandy Soto and husband Ethan Soto of
Plainview, brother Noah Hall and wife Jana Hall of Canyon. Catina
has several cousins, nieces, and nephews. On September 29th, 2022,
Catina became Grandma to Walter Cayde Valanos. Catina would
light up when she got to see Walter.
Memorial Services will be Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 at 11:00am
at Lubbock Baptist Temple, 3215 60th St, Lubbock, Tx.
