Arthur Dell Ray

Arthur “Dell” Ray was born February 26, 1945 in Quanah, Texas to John Arthur Ray and Juanita Hyden.

Arthur is the 4th of six children. Arthur was born into the farming tradition which he continued for 35 years. Arthur later worked as a forklift mechanic and maintenance person. Arthur enjoyed building miniature country themed dioramas, watching movies and most of all, spending time with his dearest wife Ruth with whom he shared the best years of his life. Arthur was known to his family as a hard-working man who overcame great adversities to become a man of restored faith and strong convictions. Arthur surrendered to Christ later in life and spoke reverently of his faith. Arthur loved his family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. 

Arthur is survived by his wife, Ruth Ray of Slaton, Texas.

Two brothers, Roy Ray and wife Doris of Lockney, Texas.

 Don Ray and wife Sarah of Amarillo, Texas. 

Arthur’s children are Deborah Lbsraoui and husband Boushabe of Tulia, Texas.

Michael Ray and wife Julie of Amarillo, Texas.

Lindell Ray and wife Sonia of Plainview, Texas. 

Arthur has 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Judy Mangum and brothers Larry and Jerry Ray.
