Kent Newsom

Kent arrived on February 24, 1958 and departed for his Heavenly home on May 31, 2021. During his 63-year lay over, he left behind many precious memories for those who knew him. He loved the Lord, his family and his many friends. He worked hard and played hard for and with those he loved. He would be there to help anyone with whatever need they had. He always worked hard at his trade to make sure that his family was well taken care of. He loved to go to the lake and was an avid water skier, loved working with wood and he once got a trophy for getting a perfect score of 300 in a bowling league. He was board member for the last 7 yrs. for the NESDA association.  He will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 40 years, Carrie. His sons, Andy Anderson and his wife, Brandi and Chris Anderson and his wife, Jamie. His brother Wade Newsom and his wife Gloria. His grandchildren, Christian, Kyler, Bailey, Jean and Hayden. His Sister-in-law Teri Looney and her husband, Tim and Brother-in-law Randy Price and his wife Gloria. As well as numerous, cousins, nephews and nieces. 

Celebration of Life Service will be held at Southcrest Baptist Church on Friday June 11 at 2:00 p.m. with Brother David Wilson officiating. A private burial was held at Resthaven Cemetery on Friday, June 4. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations to the American Cancer Society of America in his honor.
