Yolanda Ellis Obituary Yolanda Ciolfi Ellis WOLFFORTH-Yolanda Ciolfi Ellis passed away May 4th in Wolfforth, Texas. She was born in New Haven, CT, on June 16, 1924, to Anthony Ciolfi and Immacolata (Nellie) DePalma Ciolfi, both of whom were born in Rome, Italy. Yolanda married Kenneth Ray Ellis on Nov. 3rd, 1945. His lifelong career as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force took them to locations all over the U.S., Asia, and Europe. Major Kenneth Ellis died June 10, 1975 as a result of action in Vietnam. Yolanda never remarried saying that no one could fill the shoes of her handsome flyboy. Yolanda attended Texas Tech University. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Kathleen Ellis, and son-in-law, Dr. Clifford Fedler, both of Lubbock. Additionally, she is survived by her grandson, Christopher Conrad Busch, Esq. and his wife, Aprille Raabe Busch, Esq., both of Austin, Texas. Christopher and Aprille will take Yolanda's remains to Rome, Italy.
