Velton Louise Castleberry passed peacefully. Velton was born on May 17, 1935, in Lubbock to C.C. Mull and Autry Mull of Idalou.

Velton married her high school sweetheart, Travis Dean Castleberry, and together they shared 72 beautiful years of marriage built on love, devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment to one another. Travis preceded her in death three years ago, but the love they created together continued to surround their family every day.

She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Debra Lea Castleberry of Lubbock, Texas, and her son, Rodney Castleberry, who also preceded her in death. Her greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind generations who were shaped by her unconditional love, strength, patience, and caring spirit.

Velton loved people and loved life. She had a gift for making others feel welcomed, valued, and deeply cared for. Whether through her laughter, stories, conversations, or simply her presence, she brought warmth and light wherever she went. She loved spending time with friends, square dancing, and creating memories that her family will cherish forever.

Those who knew Velton will remember her beautiful heart, her strength, her sense of humor, and the way she loved without limits. She taught her family the true meaning of unconditional love, kindness, and togetherness.

Though her earthly journey has ended, the love she poured into so many lives will continue on for generations to come. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
