Toni Simons-Elkins Obituary Toni Mae Simons-Elkins, 59, of Lubbock, departed this world on June 21st, 2015. Toni was born July 18th, 1956, in Pierre, SD, to Edna and Jack Storrs. She spent 23 years as a nurse with Covenant Hospital. She was a constant presence at all Hornet events as the No. 1 fan of her two kids. Toni married Joe Elkins on Nov. 25th, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charlie Simons. She is survived by her husband, Joe Elkins; son, Kyle Simons and wife Candice; daughter, Dakota Simons; three brothers, Alton Towe, Enid Morris, and Dale Morris and wife Nancy Kay; numerous nieces and nephews; four very beloved grandchildren, Breanna, Simon, Charlie, and Sammy and many friends.
