Thelma Fishback Obituary Thelma Fishback, 71, of Lubbock, was born December 18, 1945 in San Juan, Texas to Raul and Marcelina (Cardoza) Singleterry. She grew up in a family of migrant workers and spent time in many parts of Texas until her family finally settled in Lubbock. She worked at Texas Instruments in the 70's where she met her husband, Winford Fishback. They married on October 17, 1977. She loved painting, sewing, designing floral bouquets and other arts and crafts as well as spending time with her grandchildren. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for several decades and her faith was very important to her. Thelma passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 brothers, Ruben, Andrew and Rolando Singleterry, 5 sisters, Raquel Gomez, Amparo Garza, Elvira Beggs, Rosalinda Walls and Martha Singleterry. Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Jeff Fishback, her daughter, Marcy and husband Tim Samford, 2 granddaughters, Airika Montoya and Madison Samford, 2 sisters, Maryann Hernandez and Esperanza Zarate, 8 brothers, Raul, Raymundo, Ramiro, David, Luis, Armando, Baldomero, and Pablo Singleterry and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be at 4:00pm Saturday November 4th, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2520 80th in Lubbock, Texas with Eloy Ruiz Jr. officiating. Services
