Terry Glover Obituary Terry Leo Glover, 65, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2012. Terry was born on June 26, 1947 in Evansville, Indiana to Harry and Patricia Glover. When Terry was 8 his family moved to Mesa, Arizona. It was there that he cultivated his love of the outdoors, learning to hunt and fish. Terry earned his Eagle Scout Award at 13. He loved cars, especially fast cars. Growing up, Terry played softball and basketball and contributed to many championship teams. Terry graduated from Mesa High School in 1965. He served in the British South Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1966 to 1968. Terry met the love of his life, Ella, in Mesa and after several years of marriage they moved to Lubbock to raise their two children. Terry and Ella started a prosperous construction company, building many beautiful homes in the area. Terry spent many enjoyable days at the family cabin in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Being the avid outdoorsman, Terry continued his love of hunting and fishing with family and friends. Terry was proud to be a Texan and it truly became his home. Terry had great devotion to his family. He considered his greatest accomplishments to be raising happy, successful, confident children and grandchildren. Terry will have a joyous reunion with a son who preceded him in death, Brian James, as well as other family members and friends. Terry is survived by his wife, Ella, daughter Tera and (Justin) Tyner, son Daylon and (Shayla) Glover, 3 granddaughters, Troy, Abby, Adolyn, and brother Mark E. and (Ann) Glover of Mesa. Funeral service will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,7016 Frankford Ave.Saturday July 7, at 10am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Boy Scouts of America.
