Obituary

T. Hill Obituary Timithy Don Hill, 70, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, at his Slaton home. He was born January 30th, 1947, in Lubbock, Texas to the late T.M. and Margaret (James) Hill. He was raised in Lubbock and attended Lubbock High School. He married Kay Clifton in Lubbock, Texas on December 8, 1972. He was a diesel mechanic for many years working at Case Power & Equipment and McLane High Plains. His ability to solve just about any problem with his critical skills led to a passion for building numerous projects, including his beloved homestead. He was always the first person friends called for help whether building a house, metal building, or restoring a classic truck. He loved the canyon, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. Survivors include his wife, Kay, daughter, Staycee Sultan, grandchildren, Farah, Aleena, and Zara Sultan all of Slaton; one sister, Susan Hawkins, of Lubbock, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kellee, and sister, Janie Bolt. For the last six years, he courageously battled Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme, beating all odds and contributing to a two year clinical trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. The family suggests memorials to the National Brain Tumor Society (braintumor.org) or the American Cancer Society (cancer.org). A memorial service will be held Friday, September 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Joyful Noise Christian Fellowship in Lubbock. Services
