Samuel Todd passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in his hometown of Lubbock, Texas.

He was born on January 25, 1960, in Lubbock to Juan and Josie Todd. He was the seventh of ten children, with seven brothers and two sisters.

Samuel served proudly in the United States Army and went on to build a forty-year career in commercial construction, work he took great pride in, and made his home in Oxnard, California.

He enjoyed cooking and loved introducing his family and friends to flavors they'd never tried. He greatly enjoyed time with his family, playing golf, and riding his motorcycle along the California roads he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Josie; his brothers Daniel, Juan Manuel, Jaime, and Felix; and his sister Enedina. He is survived by his son, Samuel Steven Todd, and daughter-in-law Claire; his two grandsons, Alexander and Theodore; his sister Elsa and her husband Alex; his brothers Andres, Alfredo and wife Julia, and Mike; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Communities in Schools–South Plains.
