Samuel Jones, Jr Obituary Samuel C. Jones Jr. was born into this life Thursday March 15, 1945 to Samuel C. Sr., and Ina Joyce (Gentry) Jones, in Plainview, TX. He passed from this life Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Plainview, TX. Sam married Bessie Howard May 30, 1962; they were blessed with one daughter, Trina Shirley. Sam loved fishing, more fishing, and enjoyed racing his 1964 El Camino. Sam was preceded in death by their daughter Trina, his parents Samuel Sr. and Ina, and a brother Tim Jones. He is survived by his wife of 50-years, Bessie Jones of Lubbock; one grandson, Corey Shirley; two brothers, Darrel Jones and wife Nancy of Lubbock, and Donnie Jones and wife Shirley of Lubbock; four sisters, Pat Holmes and husband Bill of Lubbock, Sue Young and husband Leonard of Huntington WV, Cindy RiGoni and husband Thomas of Slaton, and Debbie Woodul of Lubbock. A memorial service, to celebrate Sam's 67 years of life, is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Cowboy Church of the South Plains, Lubbock, with Pastor Ray Perryman officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Agape Funeral Chapel, Lubbock.
