Sally Short Obituary A Memorial Service for Sally Alene Newman Short of Lubbock, Texas will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 2520 80th St, Lubbock, Texas 79423. She died very peacefully, on October 25, 2017. She was born on May 3, 1932 to Lando and Emma Newman in Old Glory, Texas. She moved to Amarillo, Texas in her teenage years. There she met and married Charles M. Short (deceased) in 1952, and they moved to Lubbock in 1965. She is survived by three children: Kyle Short (Susan) of Lubbock and their daughters, Haley and Natalie. Kevin Short of Lubbock. Karen Kalogero (Matthew) of Sacramento, CA, and their children Amelia and Alex. Her siblings include, TL Newman and Mary Cook, of Amarillo, Texas; Bonnie Graham of Floydada, Texas and Gracie Graves of Austin, Texas. A reception will be held after the Memorial Service.
