Ruth Kirk Obituary Ruth Ann Kirk went to be with Jesus, surrounded by loved ones, December 15th, 2024. She was 75 years old, born February 11th, 1949, to Woody and Francis Woods in Carlsbad New Mexico. She, along with her two sisters and brother grew up in Amarillo Texas where she graduated from Amarillo High. She spent most of her life in Lubbock and Austin Texas, where she did what she loved in the food service industry in nursing homes as well as serving the people in her favorite convenience store! Ruth Ann was excellent at arts and crafts, but everyone wanted her ceramics most of all, or her famous strawberry cake! Ruth Ann, "Sissy" to her brother, sisters, and cousins, "Mimi" to her four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Linda carol, and son-in-law Kent. She is survived by her sister Norma Jean and husband David, her brother Robert Ken and wife Diane, her children Norma Jo, Judy Ann, and Lanie Jane, her four grandchildren Cory, Cody, Addie, and Caly- and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her aunt Vivian. We would like to specially mention those who have been here to help, her sister-in-law Charlene, her niece Mary Sue and her fiancé Clinton, and our family friends Mary and Ginger. Ruth Ann was a charming light of love to all of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held on Friday, December 20th, @2pm at the Message Church.
