Roy Spann Obituary Roy Rogers Spann, 68, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He lived a life full of love and kindness, always putting the needs of others before his own. A natural caretaker, Roy had a heart of gold. He cherished his family above all else, offering support and encouragement to those he loved. His love for children was boundless, especially his niece and nephews and he found great joy in seeing them happy. He was a guiding light, always ready to lend a hand, provide wisdom, or simply share a laugh. For 37 years, Roy worked at Ben E. Keith Foods as a truck driver, where he earned the respect and admiration of his coworkers. Whether it was on the road or at home, Roy was always there to assist those in need, often going out of his way to lend a helping hand. Roy leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love. His warm spirit and selflessness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvis Franklin Spann and Hazel Adams Spann, brother Joe Spann and sister Virgie Eickenhorst. Roy is survived by his brothers Lloyd of Lubbock and Franklin of Idalou, sisters Marie Page of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Alma, Edith, Lola and Deborah all of Lubbock.
