Roy then became a top-producing Health Insurance Agent for over thirty years. He excelled in health insurance and life insurance, earning numerous top agent awards. He said, "I just love helping people." Roy was active at St. John's United Methodist Church for over 50 years, where he and Sandy were married, serving as a Trustee, usher and many other areas. Roy loved talking and listening to people. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, country music, reading (especially historical books), and fixing things at his shop or in the garage.
