Obituary

Rose MacDonald Obituary Rose A. MacDonald WOLFFORTH-Rose A. MacDonald, 79, of Wolfforth passed away on March 27, 2012. Graveside services will be held March 29 at 10 a.m. in Wolfforth Cemetery. Rosie was born in Bozeman, Mont., to Blase and Lillie (Mix) DiLulo. She graduated from Central High in Omaha, Neb., in 1951, and that same year she married the dashing Walter D. MacDonald in Casnovia, Mich. After living in Florida, France and New York, they chose to settle in bucolic Wolfforth in 1967. She had four wonderful and gifted children: Joe, Mona, Brenda and Daniel, one more favored than the others, but it's a disagreement as to which one. Her best friend was her younger sister, Bette, whose daily phone calls were the highlight of her day and even outranked Judge Judy. She was a fab cook and a wonderful seamstress, and the only reason her quilts and pies weren't entered in competition was to allow others glory. She was a true renaissance woman: a cafe owner, a professional upholsterer, proficient in sign language, former PTA president, and in her spare time, she made quilts for displaced children. She was a great mom and she will be deeply missed.
