Rockne Giesecke Obituary Rockne Leland (RL) Giesecke of Lubbock passed from this life Thursday, September 19, 2013. He was born into this life Saturday February 13, 1932 to C.W. and Arlene (Lambert) Giesecke in Afton, TX. He was a 1950 graduate of Matador High School and a 1954 graduate of Texas A&M University. RL married Geneva Gage April 9, 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957. RL is survived by his wife Geneva and two children; one son Michael and wife Penny of Floydada and a daughter Elaine Ruland of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Lance Ruland and wife Andrea of Melissa, and Zalanda Ruland of Lubbock; two great grandchildren; two brothers LC Giesecke of Fredricksburg and RC Giesecke of Matador; two sisters Charlene Bagley of Canyon and Nixie Sullivan of Allen. A graveside service will be at Afton Cemetery, Afton, TX, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements were entrusted to Agape Funeral Chapel, Lubbock. In lieu of flowers the Giesecke family suggests memorial, in honor of RL be made to the Aftom Cemetery Assiciation P.O. Box 533 Afton, TX 79244.
