Robert Martin Obituary Robert (Bob) Verne Martin, 75 of Lubbock, Texas was born December 6, 1937 in Floydada, TX and went home to heaven on July 24, 2013. Bob was proud of his military service and enjoyed many hobbies and jobs throughout his life, but nothing gave him more joy than preaching the word of God as a Church of Christ minister for over 45 years. His humor, love and faith will be missed by many. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Aubra and Rebecca Martin and daughter Robin Neese. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bess Martin, and his children Mark Martin, Tracy Martin-Hall, Philip Martin and wife Debbie, Paul Martin and wife Ofelia, 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his brother and his wife Kent and Wynann Martin and his sister and her husband Becky and Ronnie Gregory. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 27th at 10:30am at the Chapel, at Sunset Church of Christ, Lubbock. Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm at the cemetery in Girard, TX.
