Robert "Bobby" Lewis was born in Clarendon, Texas on 4/4/1945 to Ernest & Edna Earl Lafon Lewis.

Janet was born 10/4/1946 to Billy & Ivon Goodman.

Clarendon is where their love story began. It was here, while they were still in high school, that Robert and Janet met, fell in love, and began a journey that would span more than six decades. In 1965, they made that love a lifelong promise and were married, beginning a beautiful life together that would be filled with family, faith, laughter, memories, and countless moments that became part of the story we will forever cherish.

Together, they built a home and a family grounded in love. They were blessed with three children: William Shane, Nicci Chanteel, and Jennifer Renee. Their greatest joy was their family, and they poured their hearts into raising their children and watching them grow.

Dad worked hard throughout his life as a traveling furniture manufacturer Sales representative and was a proud member of the furniture industry's Road Runner group. Through his career, he traveled to many places and formed lasting friendships and bonds with many people and business colleagues.

He was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family and in the relationships, he built along the way.

Mom was a devoted wife and an excellent mother to her three children. Later in life, she followed her heart and returned to school to become a Registered Nurse. She became a kind and compassionate Hospice nurse, caring for others with the same love, tenderness, and compassion she had always shown her family.

Together, Robert and Janet showed us what commitment truly looked like. From the young couple who fell in love, to the husband and wife who built a life and raised a family, they remained connected through all of life's joys and challenges.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Lewis, mother - Edna Earl Lafon Lewis, 3 brothers, and his wife Janet who passed from this life on 3/2/2024.

They leave behind three children, Shane Lewis Married to Donna Lewis (Daughter In Law)

Parents to Tanner Lewis (grandson) & Tiffany Lewis (granddaughter);

Nicci Chanteel Lewis Attaway married to Scott Attaway (Son in law)

Parents of Ashtynn Attaway & Madisynn Attaway (granddaughters);

Jennifer Renee Lewis Young is married to Greg Young

Parents of Mason Young ( grandson) and Lauryn Young (granddaughter).

They are also survived by his brother Howell & wife Charlene as well as Janet's sister Rhonda Looney and husband Randy Looney as well as other family members, friends, and countless people whose lives touched!

Although our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the years we were blessed to have them. We are grateful for the love they shared, the family they created, and the memories they gave us.

We love imagining Dad & Mom reunited in Heaven and Dad enjoying a round of golf, watching football, and doing the things he loved, while Mom is surrounded by the pets she adored, Neiman, Bailey & Bogey and watching Dateline and her True Crime dramas, and most of all, we can imagine the two of them together again — just as they were meant to be!

Please God, may you open Heaven's doors, bring these two souls together once again, and hold them both forever in your eternal love.
