Robbie Buster Obituary Robbie Wayne Buster passed away from this life on September 14, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born on September 21, 1940, to Carlos and Dessie (Pennington) Buster, in Sulphur Bluff, TX. Robbie married Helen (Leach) Buster on April 24, 1960, in Lubbock, TX. Robbie attended Lubbock High School. He was employed by Lubbock Glass and Mirror, and he retired after 50 years of employment in September 2008. He was a Licensed Ham (Amateur) Radio operator for many years. Robbie had a passion for Ham radios. He enjoyed attending Hamfest throughout the state, He spent countless hours speaking to people all over the world. He proudly displayed the numerous QSL cards received from both CB and Ham Radio Operators in his beloved Radio Room. QSL cards were sent memorializing the connections made with each other. He communicated as N5KFM. Robbie was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Helen (Leach) Buster, his parents Carlos and Dessie (Pennington) Buster, his brother BJ Buster, a sister Edith (Buster) Ward, a Brother-in-law Frank Ward, his Father and Mother in Law Iville and Erlena (Stevens) Leach, and a grandson James Buster. Those left to cherish his memories include a daughter Rhonda Weaver (Jim), daughter Rosalyn Ford (Larry), and a son Randall Buster (Anna); grandsons Matthew Guyear (Whitney) and Scotty Ford (Kacee), granddaughters Tiffany Buster, Ka' Leigh Ford (Joscelyn), and Crystal Buster; Sister-in-law Nona Owens, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. *A memorial service, to commemorate Robbie's 83 years of life, is scheduled for Sunday, September 29th, at 2:00 pm, Monterey Baptist Church 3601 50th St, Lubbock, TX 79413.
