Richard Martinez Obituary Richard "Bird" Martinez, 58, of Lubbock, TX has finished his valiant and courageous battle with a long time illness and has entered eternal rest on November 11, 2014. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 14, 2014 at The Heights Fellowship Church located at 6108 66th Street in Lubbock, Chaplin Josh Reglin will be officiating. He was preceded in death by both parents, Paul Martinez and Antonia Jaquez, as well as two older brothers and one sister. On April 15, 2006 he married Monica Martinez. Richard was employed by the Nunn Co, in his region, and worked as a truck driver, which he loved, for over 30 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley and playing his guitar, as well as arranging music. He also loved spending quality time with his family watching movies and had quite the sense of humor, of which each of his family members appreciated. Richard is survived by his four sons and four daughters, Javier (Stacy), Alicia (Matt Cisneros), Richard Jr., Linda (John Abila), Adrian (Denise), Brandon, Ariel, Ana. Seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. To include, a very extensive family that all loved him dearly. Richard's family will miss the love and joy he brought. Services
