Ricardo Hernandez passed away on October 25, 2026, at the age of 51.

Ricardo was born on May 12, 1975. He was a simple man who truly loved spending time with his family and friends. Those who knew him will remember the easy way he enjoyed life and the comfort he found in being surrounded by the people he cared about most.

He loved playing pool and had a special interest in fast cars. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Ruidoso, New Mexico. Some of his happiest times were spent cooking out for family and friends, making memories in the company of those he loved. He was also known for enjoying a good nap, a small but familiar part of the life that made him so dearly loved.

Ricardo is survived by his wife, Stacey Fortner, and by his mother, Julianna Hernandez. He also leaves behind his stepchildren, Dylan, Vick, and Kayla, who were an important part of his life. He will be deeply missed by his family and by the many friends who shared in his time, laughter, and companionship.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfonso Hernandez.

A Celebration of Life for Ricardo Hernandez will be held on October 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Agape Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 6625 West 19th Street Suite 103, Lubbock, Texas 79407.

Ricardo will be remembered for the simple joys he loved, the time he gave to family and friends, and the lasting place he holds in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
