Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond "RP" Paul Frizzell, on June 2, 2026.

Born on July 1,1956 in Morristown, NJ, to Kenneth Frizzell Sr. and Doris Krozer. Raymond lived a life defined not by material things. He found joy in the simple things: spending time with family, sharing stories and creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Raymond was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His greatest joy in life was his family, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether attending dirt track races, taking trips to the lake, camping, antique shopping, or searching for fire trucks with his son, Raymond found happiness in sharing experiences and making memories with those he loved most.

Raymond grew up at the Children's Home of Lubbock, an experience that helped shape the resilient and determined man he became. He was a proud graduate and lifelong supporter of Roosevelt ISD, where he was actively involved in football, track, basketball, baseball, and many other activities. His Roosevelt roots remained an important part of his life, and he always carried pride in his school and community.

Raymond is survived by his son, Michael, and his wife Brooke, along with their children: Bayli Carr (Stetson) and their children, Hayli and Jadyn; Maddie Frizzell (Jake); and stepson Keith Beasley (Jodie) and their children. He is also survived by his brother, Steven Frizzell (Lisa), Matt Hancock (Sheila) and Victor Underhill (Christine); and a sister Kathy Ann Anderson, as well as numerous extended family members and life-long friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken Frizzell Sr. and Doris Krozer, and his brothers, Kenneth Frizzell, Billy Frizzell, and Thomas M. Frizzell.

Celebration of Life for Raymond will be on July 1st at Buffalo Springs Community Church at 1:00.

Though Raymond's absence leaves a void that can never be filled, his love, laughter, and the countless memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. We will remember him in every race, every camping trip, every treasure found in an antique store, and every story shared among family and friends.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Raymond's name to the Children's Home of Lubbock or Hospice of the South Plains.
