Obituary

Phyllis Rose Crawford passed away November 5, 2026 at the age of 100. Phyllis was an April Fools’ baby, born on April 1, 1926, and always carried a great sense of humor. She spent her first 95 years in the Pueblo and Rye areas of Colorado. She married Charles (Chuck) Garland Crawford on November 4, 1947. Together they raised two sons and enjoyed camping and playing cards with their “Potluck Bunch.” Phyllis worked as a secretary at CF&I Steel for many years. She enjoyed walking with her best friend/sister-in-law, Lorraine, reading, working jigsaw puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune.

Her Texas family has enjoyed getting to spend much more time with her over the last 5 years that she has been in Lubbock, TX - most of those hours spent around the puzzle table.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Edna Hall, her husband, Charles Crawford, her son, Darryl Crawford, and her brother and her best friend/sister-in-law, Frederick and Lorraine Hall.

She is survived by her son, Scott Crawford, daughters-in-law, Gayle Crawford and Stephanie Crawford, her grandchildren, Traci Sanders (husband Shane), Seth Crawford (wife Stephanie), Kalee Duncan (husband Justin), her great-grandchildren, Brennan Crawford, Trey Sanders, Mason Duncan, and Shaylynn Duncan, nephews Rick Hall and Dwayne Hall, plus many more nieces and nephews.
