Obituary

Patricia Rhoderick Obituary Patricia Lea (Pat) Brown Rhoderick passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 13, 2025. Pat was born July 1st, 1934, in Bethel, Oklahoma, to S.C. (Blue) and Austella Brown. Pat was wife to Billie; "Mom" to Micheal Frank Rhoderick, Lesa Rhoderick Williams, and Richard Carl Rhoderick; "Nana" to 7 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and "sister" to Carl, Benny, Melanie, and Robin. She also had many nieces and nephews. Pat was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher, part-time secretary to the pastor, and she helped found the church library and Women's Ministry at Parkway Drive Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. After moving to Lubbock, Pat worked for Southwestern Bell from 1964-1989. She volunteered at the Ranching Heritage Center, loved to make potato soup for sick church friends, and made buttermilk pie like no one else--the best ever! Pat and Billie joined the Southcrest Baptist Church in 1981 and were members of the senior choir for years. They had a great time on the out-of-town choir trips. They also enjoyed Friday nights at the senior game night playing 42 and other games. She was always up for a rousing game of 42. The couple found great pleasure in traveling. They visited Canada, 10 countries in Europe, and 49 of our 50 states. Pat was always excited to share their pictures and experiences with anyone willing to listen. Pat was living at Mackenzie Court Assisted Living when she passed. We want to give our special thanks to the staff at the facility and Bridge Hospice for their loving care of our mom. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Blue and Austella Brown; JC and Bertha Rhoderick, in-laws; Billie Frank Rhoderick, husband; and Richard Rhoderick, son; Carl Brown, brother. Visitation will be held at Agape Funeral Chapel at 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday evening, February 20th. The Celebration of life service will be held at Southcrest Baptist Church at 10:00 am, Friday, February 21st followed by the interment at Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque, Texas, at 2:00 pm. *In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Texas Boys Ranch or the building fund at Southcrest Baptist Church.
