Odema Vail Obituary Odema Vail LUBBOCK-Odema Vail, 88, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Agape Funeral Chapel, 6625 W. 19th Street, with David Savage officiating. Visitation will be today, Jan. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. Odema was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Charleston, Ark. She graduated from Philips University in Enid, Okla. Following graduation, she worked in Oklahoma City, where she met and later married Howard Vail. They lived in Kingfisher, Okla., until they moved to Lubbock in 1963. They were blessed with three sons. She was a strong Christian and attended Lubbock View Christian Church, Trinity Church, and the First Church of the Nazarene during her life in Lubbock. Odema was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, David and George. She is loved and will be deeply missed by her son, Greg Vail and wife, Shirley, of Lubbock.
