Milton Diggs Obituary Milton Bruce Diggs, 71 of Lubbock passed away Saturday Sept. 2, 2017 at his residence. Bruce was born Sept. 9, 1945 in Shawnee, OK to Evelyn Wolfington Diggs and Ewell Pike Diggs. After many attempts at finding true love, he finally met his soulmate, Lova Keele, at The Silver Bullet. When his truck sunk outside of her house and he had to stay the night, Lova realized she needed to make an honest man out of him, so they married on February 27, 1993. Bruce Graduated from Snyder High in 1962 and went on to join the Navy in 1965, where he gained many achievements. He completed his last tour in 1978, and then pursued a higher education at South Plains and Sul Ross State College. After working in the food industry for many years, he started his career at the Lubbock Avalanche Journal as District Manager where he was awarded employee of the year, employee of the month several times, and many awards for sales. In another life he would be part of a biker gang, play poker and take people's money. Everyone who loves him knows he starts and ends his day watching FOX NEWS, loves to sing karaoke, and to go fishing. He was a member at the Elks Lodge where he enjoyed many evenings gathering with friends. Bruce's survivors include his wife Lova Keele-Diggs and son Melvin Keele; daughters Shayron Smith and husband Tom of Hutchins, TX, Evelyn Diggs-Pratummas of La Habra, CA, Heather Diggs and Andy Mere of Austin, TX; grandchildren Athena Kabingue, Madison Smith, Zoie Pratummas, Cadence Pratummas, and Zephyr Bruce Mere; sisters Patsy Baldwin, and Linda Wilson; as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 6:30 pm Thursday Sept. 7, 2017 at Elks Lodge 3409 Milwaukee. Please join us in the celebration of Bruce's life. Services
