Melva Estes Obituary Melva Janelle Estes, Plainview, passed from this life April 27, 2013. She was born into this life January 24, 1941 to Melvin and Annie (Rogers) Chandler in Bienville Louisiana. Janelle married Kenneth Deen Estes September 6, 1960. She worked at Hastey Construction Company in Plainview for many years. Janelle enjoyed reading and loved to spend time with her grand kids. Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ray Chandler, a sister Pat Owensby, and a son Jerry Estes. She is survived by her husband, K. Deen Estes; daughter Denise Barnes; son-in-law Jerry Barnes; three grandchildren Keila Haning and husband Jarrod, Trenton Estes, and Mackenzie Estes; and several nieces and nephews.
