Obituary

Matthew Plyler Obituary Matthew Jordan Plyler passed from this earth on Jan. 19, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas. He was 30 years old. Born on Jan. 13, 1987, in Lubbock, Texas, he graduated from Coronado High School and played violin in the Coronado orchestra. Music was his calling in life. He taught himself how to play guitar, harmonica, keyboard and bass. His shinning talent was his voice he loved to sing. Matthew was dedicated to physical fitness. He was gifted with an extraordinary body and he improved on it daily. Some mornings he would start out with 500 push-ups, he was crazy strong! Matthew always had faith in Jesus and did his best to follow the correct path in his life. He never looked down on those who society judges as misfits. He could see their pain and struggles and knew how hard it was to be looked at like they were different and didn't fit in. He didn't have much in life but would literally give his last dollar to help a poor soul who needed a bite to eat or a smoke or a loving hug if that's all he had. He walked the walk where it says thou shall not judge. Matthew had many friends but was closest to his family. His best friend in life was his Grandma Plyler who died this past December. His late Grandpa Darrell and Grandma Vivian were his best friends too and passed away a few years ago. His stepmom, Bendetta Plyler passed away four years ago; she had a big influence in his raising, his faith and his good manners. He has lost a lot in his short life, now he's gone to be with his loved ones in heaven. Matt's booming sweet voice and guitar are rocking in heaven now. He is survived by his mother, Lisa Brauer and stepdad, Ron Brauer, his dad, David Plyler and stepmom, Amy Hukill; and Grandma, Vera; his brothers, Josh Plyler, Cade Cruger and Chance Cruger; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews and nieces. If Matthew was your friend then he considered you family too. Matthew is loved. His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts. Services
