Martin Gonzales passed away on January 24, 2026, at Covenant Hospital at the age of 71, to be with our Lord. He was born on December 5, 1954.

Martin graduated in 1973 from Estacado High School, where he was actively involved in the band and football. He attended Texas Tech University. After a tragic motorcycle accident in 1975, he suffered a traumatic brain injury. He resided with his parents and enjoyed reading his bible, praying the rosary, watching movies, playing on his tablet, and spending time with his family. He was a devout Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

He is survived by his mother, Ofelia Iglesias, stepfather Rodolfo Iglesias, and sister Maria Martinez.

Preceded in death, his father, Mauro Gonzales, and brothers Joe Alex Gonzales, Ricky Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales, and Ricardo Gonzales.
