Marcia Kerr Obituary Marcia Karen Scott Kerr was called to God on August 18, 2018. She is survived by her sisters, Cindy Scott Nunnally (husband Russell) and Kristi Scott Davis. Marcia has 4 nieces and 4 nephews. Preceding her to heaven were parents Willie Lloyd Scott and Hilda Ruth Atkinson Scott and a brother Mickey Dale Scott and a nephew David Wayne Mizzell. Marcia was born January 31, 1947 in Quanah, TX. After graduating high school she followed her family to Lubbock, TX to start her career in retail sales working for Montgomery Ward. After a lengthy time, she decided to try something different but dear to her heart. She became the director of a children's day care. Her love of children and taking care of them gave her tremendous joy. After a few years she decided to go back to retail, this time working for Dillards. Marcia's career with Dillard's was a long one and ended after 30 plus years when she retired. Christmas was Marcia's favorite holiday and she loved to be surrounded by of the trimmings of the holiday by decorating every room in the house with trees, Angels and Santa Claus. She donated to the Angel Tree to help families so no one was left out. Everyone that ever met Marcia loved her and would remark on how sweet she was and what a kind heart she had and her big smile. She is loved and will be greatly missed! Celebration of Life services will be 10:30am Saturday Sept. 1, 2018 at Generations Church 5201 University Ave. with Jerry Becknal officiating. Services
