Louise Jeffers Obituary Louise Adel Jeffers, age 87, died of natural causes on September 15, 2015 in Lubbock, TX. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Jeffers of Lubbock; her son Steven (wife Kim); daughter Lori Craytor (husband Dan), of Knoxville, MD. Mrs. Jeffers has three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was born on February 18, 1928 in Hastings, NE to parents Fern Hauer (Fellman) and Ralph Hauer. She graduated from Hastings College in 1950 with degrees in music and English. She attended the Methodist church and played the violin in the city orchestra. She taught one year in Indianola, NE. Louise and Curtis moved to Wichita, KS where they lived for over 60 years. In 2010 they moved to Lubbock, TX to be near their son, Steve. A graveside service is set for 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Highland Cemetery in Iola, KS.
